Dear Friend, I now realize that one of the best things that ever happened in my life was when I got talked into helping raise money for Food Banks in Massachusetts. Years later, I can see that my community of friends and my own sense of self-worth increased exponentially.
For almost twenty years I’ve been sending these emails, asking friends and colleagues to help me help others. This year especially, as America struggles to maintain its concern for the marginalized, I’m reaching ever-further to the many good souls I’ve come to know throughout this very full life journey.
I’m again raising money for my local Meals on Wheels program. I’ve set a goal of obtaining fifty $10 donations. I’m asking for your kind assistance in helping me achieve this goal.
Thank you!
I would be extremely grateful for your assistance with my personal fund raising challenge. (As each year passes I see my own eventual need for Meals on Wheels rapidly approaching).
Additional information about the Meals on Wheels program can be found at: 2018 Meals on Wheels Walkathon
Thank you very much for your good friendship throughout these many years, and also for your generous assistance with my goal.
Separately, I encourage you to seek out your own, local Meals on Wheels program and offer assistance as you’re able. My local Meals on Wheels organization delivers over 120,000 meals a year to elders in 30 towns in just one county here in Massachusetts. Multiply that by every county across America. That’s a lot of lonely, elderly shut-ins. Our strength together will strengthen them.
I hope that all in your life is well. May God bless you,
Daniel Jones
If you knew your elderly neighbor was too frail or sick to cook for themselves tonight, would you bring them a meal? Of course you would!
So would I. That’s why I’m walking in the 2018 Meals on Wheels Walkathon on Saturday, April 28. You can help ensure that 1,083 elders/year can get a hot, balanced meal AND wellness check by a compassionate volunteer driver 5 days/week.
Please donate today. Every dollar you give stays in the community and goes directly to support Meals on Wheels.
Thank you!
