MEALS ON WHEELS PROGRAM MEANS SO MUCH TO SO MANY

My mother, Yvette Slauenwhite, was a Meals on Wheels recipient.  Even though she had family to visit her and care for her, she always looked forward to seeing her Meals on Wheels driver everyday.  

Meals on Wheels is a program that delivers a hot noontime meal to homebound elders, or those who are not able to cook for themselves.   It also gives our drivers a chance to do a wellness check on the elders to make sure everything is okay.   The fact is that not all elders have family to visit them or care for them, so think what a daily visit from the Meals on Wheels driver means to them!!

This fundraiser enables us to serve elders without them having to be put on a waiting list for this program.   Your donations help this fundraiser accomplish that.
